Atty. Eric Paul D. Peralta ‘02-C
Brod Atty. Eric Paul D. Peralta currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). In this role, he oversees units responsible for campus safety, community engagement, health services, and emergency preparedness—functions that directly impact the day-to-day welfare of both the university and surrounding communities.
Before his appointment as Vice Chancellor, Brod Eric served as Director of the UPLB Security and Safety Office, where he helped professionalize campus security protocols and improve coordination with local authorities. His approach has consistently prioritized clear systems, practical solutions, and fair implementation.
Brod Eric is also an assistant professor at the Department of Human and Family Development Studies under the College of Human Ecology. He teaches courses in family law and family development policies, combining academic instruction with practical insights from his legal and public service work.
Outside of administrative and teaching duties, Brod Eric engages in legal consultancy for development projects and participates in research and extension programs within the university—connecting academic knowledge with on-the-ground impact.
All of these roles reflect his steady commitment to Alay sa Sambayanan. Brod Eric’s work is not always public-facing, but its effects are widely felt—ensuring safety, delivering education, supporting policy, and contributing to institution building.
